Real Madrid want to announce the signing of Eden Hazard by Friday – so he can pose with the club’s new kit.
The Chelsea star is on the verge of sealing a long-awaited move to the Bernabeu after both clubs finally agreed an initial fee around £88million.
All that remains is for the Belgian to agree personal terms – and the deal could be confirmed any moment.
Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur, a friend of Hazard’s, reveals why Madrid are keen to make the announcement sooner rather than later.
“They want to announce the deal as fast as possible, maybe even today, because tomorrow they are launching their new kit, so they might want Hazard to pose with the new shirt,” he told talkSPORT 2 on Thursday.

“They already wanted to announce it last week but they only got a breakthrough yesterday night.”
Terruer also reveals that the clubs have been negotiating over the player since February, with Chelsea holding out for a top fee.
Hazard has just one year remaining on his current deal – and it is understood Madrid did not want to pay more than £88m.
“They have been talking with Real Madrid since the beginning of February,” Terruer added.
“They really wanted to get the maximum out of the deal
“There was never any doubt with Real Madrid that they would get him, because the player wanted to come to Real Madrid.
“Chelsea is still a business in the last few years. When they can get money for players, they do it.

“They might lose a valuable player on the pitch, but they might also win another player back, in Callum Hudson-Odoi, who might now sign a new deal.
“He likes to play on the left, Hazard is gone, so maybe it’s a win-win in the long term for both clubs.”
