Huge fight breaks out after Brazilian cup semi-final between Atletico Goianiense and Vila Nova, as players are pepper-sprayed

A shocking brawl broke out at a Brazilian football semi-final match in Goiania on Sunday.


Atletico Goianiense beat Vila Nova 2-1 on aggregate to progress to the Goias State Championship final, but the game was marred by a huge post-match fight.

Players and staff from both clubs were pepper sprayed by police in an attempt to restore order.



And an official club photographer had to be carried off on a stretcher and rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries.















After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Atletico Goianiense won the second leg 1-0 thanks to a 76th-minute Jorginho goal.


Atletico Goianiense̢۪s Washington Santana da Silva and Vila Nova̢۪s Philipe Maia received red cards in injury-time.
