Tottenham play their first match at their new stadium in just a couple of weeks – but Mauricio Pochettino’s players are reportedly worried about returning home.
The first of two Test Events was hosted at the £1billion structure last weekend, with J’Neil Bennett scoring the opening goal at the ground in Tottenham Under-18s’ 3-1 defeat of Southampton.
The second Test Event takes place this Saturday – Spurs Legends face off against Inter Forever – ahead of the stadium’s official opening next week.
Crystal Palace are the first visitors to the ‘Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’ on April 3, with an opening ceremony scheduled to take place before kick-off.
Spurs will play a further four Premier League matches at their new ground, as well as the home leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Manchester City – guaranteeing a minimum six fixtures at the stadium this season.

Should the north Londoners progress past City into the Champions League semi-finals, the stadium will also host the home leg of that fixture, taking the match total up to seven.
Fans are understandably delighted to be returning home after an extended spell at Wembley, but the players are allegedly not so keen on the move to the new stadium.

According to The Sun, Pochettino’s stars are worried about moving into the ground at this stage of the season, especially as Tottenham’s recent form has plunged them into a fight just to finish in the Premier League’s top four.
“There is said to be some trepidation among Spurs players about moving in and surrendering a certain degree of home advantage, at such a key point in their season,” the report reads.
Having occupied Wembley since the start 2017/18 – and played their home Champions League fixtures there the season prior – England’s national stadium has become something of a ‘home’ for Tottenham.
They have played 47 matches at Wembley since moving in, and the players now have to deal with a new stadium – and all that entails – at the most crucial period of the season.
