Lionel Messi has revealed how his son trolled him at home over Barcelona’s Champions League defeat to Liverpool.
Barca crashed out of Europe with a shock 4-0 defeat at Anfield in the semi-final second leg after winning the first leg at home 3-0.
It was the second season in a row the LaLiga club have been knocked out of the Champions League despite having a three goal first leg lead.
And Messi has revealed in an interview that his son, Mateo, likes to remind him of that Liverpool defeat in addition to the Copa del Rey final defeat to Valencia.

“We were playing at home and he said to me, ‘I’m Liverpool, who beat you’; ‘Valencia won, eh – I’m Valencia’.
“The TV is there, and he cheers Madrid’s goals to annoy his brother. He’s the one who is a Madrid fan.”
The interview even caught the eye of former Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa who tweeted ‘let’s get it signed’ in response to the Messi interview video.
The Argentina international is currently preparing for the Copa America, having ended the domestic season with just one trophy – the Spanish Liga title.
