Callum Hudson-Odoi transfer latest: Manchester United join Liverpool and Bayern Munich in race for Chelsea winger

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is wanted by Manchester United, according to reports.

United are the latest team to enter the race for the 18-year-old forward, with their Premier League rivals Liverpool also keen on Hudson-Odoi.

There is also Bundesliga interest in the teenager, with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund previously expressing interest in him.

Hudson-Odoi has made just 18 appearances for Chelsea this season, but he debuted for England’s senior team during Friday night’s defeat of the Czech Republic.

Big things are expected of Hudson-Odoi, but his contract expires at the end of next season and the youngster has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Bayern are set to return with another bid for Hudson-Odoi this summer having failed to sign him throughout January, but the Mail claim Manchester United will also enter the running for him.

Liverpool were also claimed to be targeting Hudson-Odoi during the winter window, and their interest was once again reported earlier this week.

Maurizio Sarri, the Chelsea manager, has been criticised for refusing to utilise Hudson-Odoi more frequently.

However, he insists the teenager is a fantastic talent who needs to be developed in the correct manner rather than being thrown in at the deep end.

â€Å“I think to have pressure when you are 18 is very dangerous for a player,” Sarri said earlier this month.

â€Å“You can lose the target. When you’re 18 the target is to improve – to improve, tactically, mentally and physically.

â€Å“So, it’s dangerous for him. I don’t like to speak about him for this reason.

â€Å“Now I think we need to improve without the pressure of the media, without the pressure of the fans, without the pressure of the club.

â€Å“He (doesn’t) have to do anything to convince me because I am convinced that he is a very great player.”
