Chelsea to announce Maurizio Sarri exit to Juventus in the coming days – reports

Maurizio Sarri will leave Chelsea with the club’s blessing in the coming days, reports claim.

The Italian wants to join Juventus and the Blues are happy to let him leave once the Serie A club agree to buy out the final year of his £5million contract.

Sarri is keen to take up Juve on their offer

Juventus have reportedly offered Sarri a three-year deal after making him their no. 1 target to replace Massimiliano Allegri.

Sarri met with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia on Friday to reveal his desire to return to Italy after just 11 months in charge at Stamford Bridge.

According to the Times, both parties agree that his departure is the best outcome for everyone concerned after a successful but tumultuous season.

Sarri reportedly told Granovskaia he would be happy to see out the remaining year of his contract if the club provided more public backing.

Despite finishing third in the Premier League and winning the Europa League, his future has been a constant source of speculation.

Chelsea were ready to sack the 60-year-old in February after a series of terrible results, before a 2-0 victory over Tottenham turned things around.
