Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs drop Hugo Lloris as Eric Dier and Vincent Janssen return

Tottenham Hotspur have named Paulo Gazzaniga in goal for their Premier League clash with Manchester City.

Just days after a stunning victory over Pep Guardiola’s men on away goals in the Champions League quarter-finals, Spurs return and have dropped Hugo Lloris due to injury but named Eric Dier, in XI as a replacement for the injured Moussa Sissoko.

The most intriguing alteration sees Vincent Janssen come back into the fold and named on the bench following loan spell and injuries, while he also had his squad number (9) taken away from him at the beginning of this campaign.

It’s the first time the Dutchman, who cost £17million in 2016, has appeared in a matchday squad since August 2017 when Spurs lost 2-1 to Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.
