Arsenal have returned 2,300 of their 6,000 Europa League final tickets ahead of this Wednesday’s clash with Chelsea in Baku.
UEFA have been criticised for holding the final in Azerbaijan because of the difficulty for fans to get to the venue.
The supporters who are willing to make the journey face an arduous 2,500 mile trek over several days as there are no direct flights to Baku.
It would take around four days to get to the stadium via public transport and it will mean their will be just a handful of English supporters in the Olympic Stadium, which has a 68,700 capacity.
Sky Sports are reporting the Gunners have returned 2,300 tickets while Chelsea are believed to be handing back around 4,000.
Arsenal will also reportedly be stopped by Uefa from making any tribute to Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the Europa League final.
The Armenian midfielder will not travel to Baku for Wednesday’s final due to safety concerns.
The 30-year-old decided to stay home as he feared he could be targeted because of tensions between Armenia and the host country.
The squad are thought to have spoken about how they could show their support for Mkhitaryan.
Wearing shirts with his name on the back for the warm-up was discussed.
