Marco Silva has spoken with Jordan Pickford to remind him of his ‘duties and obligations’ after the Everton goalkeeper was allegedly involved in a brawl earlier this week.
A video shared widely on social media appeared to show the glovesman involved in a fracas in Sunderland in the early hours of Monday morning.
The incident is being investigated by both Northumbria Police as well as Pickford’s club, Everton.
And Silva, the Toffees manager, made it clear on Friday he is ‘not happy’ with his goalkeeper’s actions.
“If you ask me as a manager I am not happy with what happened,” the Portuguese said.

“Football players have duties and obligations. It is a matter for us to remind him and everything we must do we already did.
“The first chat of the week I was clear with him. Everything is clear in his mind about his obligations. It is my expectation it won’t happen again.
“No one is happy with the situation, it was not a good thing. The matter is finished in this moment.”

The incident took place on Tunstall Road on Monday morning, hours after Pickford had watched his former club Sunderland lose to Portsmouth in the Checkatrade Trophy final.
Pickford was alleged to have taken his top off at one stage throughout the fight, while onlookers can be heard shouting ‘Jordan’ in the footage. Pickford is later dragged away.
Northumbria Police confirmed on Monday they are looking into the incident.
A spokesperson said: “At 12:19am Monday April 1, police received a report of a disturbance involving a large group of individuals on Tunstall Road, Sunderland.
“Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and locate those involved. Nobody is believed to have been seriously injured and no arrests have been made.”
